Connecting Europe Partners Meet in Malta for Project Launch
The Connecting Europe project held its kickoff meeting from May 23-24, 2022 in Valletta, Malta. The partners gathered at the Osbourne Hotel for the event hosted by EJB.
On the first day, the partners shared best practices and challenges faced when preparing and hosting students for Erasmus+ mobilities. This led into a needs analysis workshop and development of a survey questionnaire for teachers, students, and employers. In the evening, the group enjoyed a networking dinner at Blue Elephant restaurant.
The second day involved outlining the aims, content, and framework for the two main project outputs – a virtual preparation course for mobility students (Project Result 1) and online skills matrices with evaluation tools (Project Result 2). The partners found common ground on the outputs and agreed on next steps.
The meeting concluded with plans for the project website main pages and content. In between sessions, the partners explored Malta and strengthened their collaboration over meals at local restaurants.
The productive kickoff meeting allowed the Connecting Europe partners to align on the project goals, outputs, and next steps to support VET mobility students, leaving Malta with a strong foundation to build on over the next two years.
